Job Description

This job is located at Intensive Treatment and Recovery in Dahlonega, Georgia.This hourly part-time position is for weekend/third shift, and will be scheduled for Saturday-Sunday 8 p.m. - 8 a.m.
 
Job Duties:
  • Monitors clients in a 24/7 residential/supported living environment.
  • Observes, documents and reports client behavior/progress on an ongoing basis.
  • Trains and assists clients in basic daily living skills.
  • Maintains a clean, healthy and safe living environment.
 
Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience which has allowed the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.
 
All candidates must be 21 years of age with three (3) years of driving experience. Must have valid Georgia drivers license and no driver may have six (6) or more points against his/her license within the last five years. No driver may have had a DUI or suspended license within the last five years.
 
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a Health Care Assistant certification or comparable technical certificate or diploma program.

Job Description

A Peer Specialist is needed for the Dahlonega Behavioral Health Center to serve the Greater Lumpkin County Area. This position works with clients who have a severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Will provide case management, conduct groups and perform general peer support services. Will document all services in the Electronic Patient Record (ECR) Will transport clients in a company and/or personal vehicle. Must be certified as a Peer Specialist in the state of Georgia.www.gmhcn.org/peer-mentoring-forensic-peer-mentor

Job Description

The Community Support Team (CST) will serve Lumpkin, White, Habersham and Stephens Counites. The active team works with clients who have a severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Job Duties:
 
• Provides a broad range of paraprofessional behavioral health and social services to clients and their families 
• Under supervision, will organize and facilitate group counseling. 
• Participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention 
• Will teach daily living skills to clients and will monitor/document progress toward treatment goals.
• May provide supportive counseling to clients and families and/or serve as a liaison for social services 
• Will transport clients as needed. Must be willing to use personal vehicle when necessary.
• Assists clients in locating and utilizing community resources including legal, medical, financial assistance, and other referral services.
• Counsels clients living in group homes and halfway houses; assists in pre-release and release planning. 
• Implements and organizes the delivery of specific social services within the community. 
• Implements life skills workshops and programs in behavior management, youth services, community and social services. 
• Monitors client’s progress towards treatment goals. 
• Provides short-term case management and referral services to clients with emergency situations 
• Will take rotating on-call duties
