Job Description

Avita is currently recruiting for a BCBA to manage an Adult Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) crisis wing in our soon to open Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC). This new building and department is expected to open in April 2021. The BHCC offers services 24/7, which includes crisis walk-in, 23 hour observation, and crisis stabilization.

  • Will have direct client contact
  • Will clinically supervise approximately nine (9) RBT's as well as oversee any Health Services Technicians (HST) on that wing of the unit.
  • Must be a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) with a minimum of 3 years of experience and a positive attitude.
  • Prior experience with crisis staff supervision helpful.
  • When not working in the BHCC, the BCBA will be assisting IDD Day Center Team Leads with other adult clients, as necessary.

The goal of this position is to support individuals with developmental disabilities to become active and integrated citizens within their communities. This will  be accomplished by helping the individual to identify their personal preferences and implementing a plan of support which honors these preferences.

 Staff in this position will work in cooperation with clients, families, community members, support coordinators, and consultants as identified through the Person-Centered   Plans of the Service process. Must be Certified Nursing Assistant within the state of Georgia, hold and minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree,  and demonstrate sufficient reading, writing and computer skills so as to be able to perform the duties.

 Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule of late afternoons, evenings and weekends.

We are seeking fully licensed staff to serve in our BHCC assisting adults experiencing mental health crises and/or in need of detoxification from substances and includes the following: Crisis Walk-In Center: Temporary Observation Unit: A 15 bed facility-based program that provides a physically secure and medically safe environment to further assess, stabilize, and refer clients to the next appropriate level of care. Crisis Stabilization Unit: A 30-bed, short-term crisis residential unit providing treatment to adults experiencing mental health crisis or who are in need of withdrawal management from substances. All departments listed are 24/7.

Job Summary:

Crisis Walk-In Center/Temporary Observation Unit: Clinical staff complete assessments on individuals walking into the center in crisis and based on those assessments arrange for follow-up care or admission to Temporary Observation, Crisis Stabilization and hospitals. Clinicians may also assist with assessment, treatment planning, and safety planning of adults on the Temporary Observation Unit.

•    Will work in collaboration with other staff members of the Clubhouse to provide supportive services that meet the needs of youth and families.

Under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, using computerized and manual systems, enters
Physicians’ medication orders into patient medication profiles, fills prescriptions, maintains pharmacy
inventory and performs other functions of a pharmacy.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPhT and (2) five years experience in retail environment; some experience with insurance and prior authorizations.

Avita Community Partners is excited to announce a Mental Health Counselor opportunity in our Hall County Schools and the Gainesville Behavioral Health Center.

Job Description:Provides mental health services to children, and adolescents in a school and outpatient setting. Will Provide individual counseling, diagnostic assessments, group therapy, family counseling.

Must be eligible for Associate License in Georgia (LAMFT, LAPC, or LMSW) within 6 months of hire

Minimum Qualifications: 

Unlicensed ($33,000/yr):

   A Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Community Counseling, School Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy and eligibility to         obtain a associate level license within six months of employment (LAPC, LAMFT, LMSW). (Upon receipt of Georgia associate licensure, employee is eligible for a 5%              increase in pay) OR Associate Licensed ($35,000/yr)

 Associate Licensure as an LAPC, LAMFT or LMSW in the State of Georgia OR Fully Licensed ($44,500 - $50,000) Salary is dependent on length and type of licensure.
