Cheryl Barnet

Human Resources Director

Cheryl has worked in all areas of personnel administration within the MHDDAD system with the "State of Georgia" for the past 19 years.

Nine years ago, Cheryl joined Avita Community Partners and has been working as the Human Resources Director for the organization the last eight years. Prior to joining Avita, Cheryl was Personnel Manager for the Division of MHDDAD, and worked several years at BrookRun Institution in personnel.
Her past experience includes working for a Community Action Program as Director of Community Affairs and Marketing Director for a trust company. She is a certified Mediator for the State of Georgia and certified as a Human Resource Specialist from the University of Georgia certified in Human Resource Management.

At Avita, Cheryl is responsible for Recruitment & Retention, Training, Leave & Benefits, and Public Information.
