Tammy Foster(Representing Franklin County)Tammy Foster holds a M.ED. in Interrelated Special Education and a B.S.Ed. in Mental Retardation from the University of Georgia. She taught Special Education at the preschool, elementary and high school levels for 20 years in Georgia schools. In addition to Special Education certification, she holds certification in preschool handicapped education, reading education and educational leadership.She currently serves as the Special Education Director of the Franklin County School System. She is an active member of the Georgia Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the Georgia Council of Administrators of Special Education (G-CASE) and the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL). Tammy also serves as an adjunct instructor in the School of Education at Emmanuel College. Tammy and her family are active members of Lavonia First Baptist Church where she participates in the music ministry. She is also a Board member for the Franklin County Collaborative, an interagency community council. back to list |
