Desiree' Reddick-Head

Chairperson of Board (Representing White County)

Desiree' is a graduate of Florida State University with a BS and MS degree. She has more than 20 years experience in the early childhood/child care field. She has managed programs at the State and local level. Desiree' is presently employed by ICF international as a State Technical Assistance Specialist with the National Child Care Information and Technical Assistance Center. She provides assistance to states regarding the federal Child Care and Development Fund. Desiree's previous employment in Georgia includes working with the Georgia Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies, Save the Children Foundation and Quality Care for Children. Her work in Florida includes the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services where she administered the Sates child care programs. She has worked for a local school system, taught at a State University and technical colleges and managed local Head Start and Child Care training programs and services.

Desiree' has received the Distinguished Service Award, Administration for Children and Families, Region IV, 2000, Outstanding Leadership Award, Tennessee Department of Human Services, 2000, Outstanding Support of Child Care Services, Florida Children's Forum, 1995.

Desiree' has served on the board of the Leon County Association for the Education of Young Children. She has served as public policy chair of the Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children. She also has served on the advisory board of the Child Care Initiative with the Southern Institute on Children and Families. She presently serves as the landowner committee chair for the Helen to the Atlantic, Hot Air Balloon event.
