Dr. Rufus Larkin

Rufus has a Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Georgia, a M.S.W. in Social Work from the University of Georgia and a BA in Psychology from Fort Valley State University.
He previously worked at North Georgia College and State University as an Associate Professor of Psychology & Sociology. He has worked as Director of Counseling and Training for Adolescent & Family Counseling Services in Gainesville, as a Program Director at the Gainesville-Hall County Boys' Club and as a social worker at the Alpine Psycho-Educational Center in Gainesville.

Rufus is currently an Associate Professor and Director of Programs for the University of Georgia School of Social Work at the Gwinnett University Center. Rufus has served on several service committees such as the Editorial Board for Research on Social Work Practice and was recently selected as a 2005-2006 Lilly Teaching Fellow at the University of Georgia. He received the Distinguished Alumnus in Education Award from Fort Valley State University in April 2005. He has served 2 terms on the Grand Jury in Gainesville-Hall County with the most recent in May 2004.
