Avita Community Partners is excited to announce we are expanding our services in Northeast Georgia. We are in need of a Nurse Practitioner for our Gainesville Center. This Full or Part Time position will treat adults with mental health and addictive disease issues. The position is located in the beautiful Gainesville GA - one hour north of Atlanta. Job Description: Candidate will work mostly with Adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses who are seeking opportunities to improve their lives. Job duties will include but are not limited to the following: ** Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatric and nursing staff ** Develop comprehensive plans of care ** Examine patients to obtain treatment assessment ** Makes tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of consumers ** Prescribes therapy or medication (with physician consultation available) ** Participate with a Clinical Care Team each week ** Work closely with team members: administrative team, doctor, nurse, social service technicians, and other counselors, etc ** Flexible schedule available for those who desire some evening or other non-traditional hours Requirements Minimum Qualifications: (Training and Experience) This position requires a current Georgia license to practice as an Advance Practice Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with a Specialty in Psychiatric Nursing (i.e. PMH or Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing). Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to look past a diagnosis and find consumer strengths. * Understanding of the local and community resources * Bilingual a plus.
